Come and join the Mountain Spinners at our regular spinning evening every Monday and Tuesday nights. Learn to spin or just bring your knitting or crochet and enjoy the company and have a chat


Monday evenings 6:00pm to 9pm (small fee charged for power and supper)

Tuesday evenings 6:00pm to 9pm (small fee charged for power and supper)



We also offer regular felting workshops at our Bardon shop
(details of the shop can be found here)

The workshops, held in small groups are fun and practical
You will learn new skills and have a beautiful finished item to take home with you!



Felted Bag and Hat Workshop

Learn the basics of felting. Make, and take home a wonderful felted bag or hat from pure wool sliver

Saturday 31st July 2010 - 10am to 3pm

Workshop fee: $75.00 per session

Felted Bowl Workshop

Come and make a wonderful felted bowl

Learn how to make bowls using the resist method of felting

This is a great workshop for children to learn the art of felting

Parents with children most welcome

Spinning Workshop

Learn the technique of core wrapping using mohair

This workshop will teach you how to make a lovely boucle yarn using mohair and a core thread
Bring your own spinning wheel, or learn on one of ours (limited number available - advance booking essential)

Nuno Felted Wrap Workshop

Make an original Nuno felted wrap using silk, wool and embellishments

Learn the technique of felting onto fabric. At this workshop, you will learn the basics of Nuno felting and be inspired with ideas for scarves and wraps

Materials used include wool sliver, tissue silk, silk sliver, fabric remnants and other fibres

Saturday 3rd July 2010 - 10.30am to 2.30pm

Saturday 14th August 2010 - 10.30am to 2.30pm

Workshop fee: $110.00 per session (all materials included)

Ashford knitters loom workshop

Make an super woven scarf in three hours

Learn the basics of warping the loom and then make a super scarf to take home with you

Saturday 10th July 2010 - 10am to 2.30pm

Workshop fee: $110.00 per session (include all materials and use of our looms)

50% deposit required to secure your place
